OAKLEAF LETTUCE
The   oak leaf   is a type of   lettuce   introduced in South of Italy   about a ten years ago   from the Northern Europe ;  is composed of   clumps of   bright green,   heavy ,  rounded,   the   lower   bearing   and content,   with   10-15 cm   long leaves   that resemble   those   oak   for their form   and   that , cutted,  reborn   quickly.   Of   very low calorie ,  is a great   and   refreshing   aperitif.   It has a good  amount  of vitamins, minerals   and trace elements . Contributes   to the proper functioning   of the nervous system , and carry out  action   refreshing , soothing  and purifying.   The lettuce   was   crisp,   slightly sweet   flavor , excellent  shelf life   and can be purchased   in boxes.   The   oak leaf   lettuce   is consumed   preferably   raw   in salads.   For their   attractive   appearance , the leaves  may be used for   the sealing   plates of   great aesthetic effect .
The cultivation may be with convetional method respecting the Disciplinary of "Produzione di Lotta Integrata "  .
